Incentives on a Dime was a 1 ½ hour session that focused on learning the science supporting the use of incentives and their effective application. The training included a deep dive into multiple affordable evidence-based incentives including positive peer board, certificates, hand-made cards, “easing the burden” incentives, fishbowl, spin the wheel, tokens such as Decision Dollars, and more. The workshop focused on the creation, implementation, and delivery of incentives. Participants left with detailed handouts, a fully customized toolkit, and skills!

Attendees were able to:

• Understand why incentives are essential and how to identify participant proximal and distal behaviors that should be rewarded with incentives.
• Learn how to create and implement numerous low-cost/no-cost evidence-based incentives.
• Explore the essential elements of an effective response and how to deliver specific types of incentives to create learning opportunities that motivate engagement.
